A story by Stéphanie McQuaid

September 2018

At first glance, this picture may look like I’m bragging. But it’s actually more about being thankful. About being blessed for who I have in my life. I surround myself with beautiful people and I’m so lucky for all of them.

Here is my story: I have a beautiful life, a husband, three beautiful kids who are growing up way too fast and three dogs. But the real story is about me, I’ve been a stay at home mom for over 12 years. Although my kids are my life, I was at a point where I needed something more. I needed something that was for me. Just for me. I didn’t know what, but I knew that I needed to do something because being a mom, although it’s a wonderful thing, it just wasn’t enough anymore.

So then, this crazy thing happened. I was invited to a jewelry party on a cold February night. On a Tuesday to boot. Who has a Wine & Cheese Soirée on a Tuesday night? But you had me at wine and cheese, so there I was. I had promised my friend I would go and I couldn’t let her down. It was a fun night. Met some great people. After probably too many glasses of wine, I said yes to the jewelry. I really just wanted the starter kit but they didn’t need to know that!

The next day, I had a few friends come over. I had no intentions of talking about the Tocara party I had been to but they happened to spot the kit and the catalogs. So there you have it, four friends loved the stuff and made me money that night. I couldn’t believe how much I got paid to hang out with my girls and how much free jewelry I was about to have. Seriously, there must be a catch! Then I decided to have my neighbors over. Now I know they only came for the free wine (love you ladies) but at the end of the night, they couldn’t resist Tocara. As sweet as they are, they were behind me in my new adventure.

I’ve been doing this for five months now and I’m enjoying it so much. In May, Tocara celebrated my success. I’ve received this beautiful trophy to recognize my accomplishments. I’m not going to lie, I’m super proud of myself. It’s been a long time since I’ve been recognized for something else other than putting a basket of laundry within 3 days of being folded.

I couldn’t have done it without the help of all my friends. I am really enjoying this new gig of mine and I cannot believe how lucky I am for all the great people in my life. So many of you have come forward and offered to host a party for me, I’m so thankful for that. And to those who purchased an item here and there through Facebook, it’s so appreciated. Because of you, I stay alive in this business a little bit longer. Without your support, this direct sale adventure isn’t working. I’m so thankful and I appreciate you so much. One piece of bling at a time.

Tocara is such an awesome company and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it on this cold February night.
